Post-processing

Post-processing is a necessary part of the digital workflow using 3D printing. It encompasses all the procedures that are performed after printed parts are removed from a 3D printer. In general, this includes (in order): removal of support structure, removal of residual resin by liquid immersion, post-curing in a UV chamber and aesthetics improvement (sanding, filling, priming, painting). Among these steps, the post-curing is a very vital process to the function and value of the printed parts. Therefore, it should be carried out according to the instruction from the 3D printer's and material's manufacturer.
